Agents nab 597 bricks of presumed cocaine in SE town

Boca de Yuma, Dominican Republic.- The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) on Thursday headeda joint operation which seized 597 bricks of a substance presumed to be cocainefrom Colombia, hidden in a cave near the southeastern town

Arrested in theoperation that included the Dominican Navy and Air Force, prosecutors and theNational Investigations Dept. (DNI) were a Colombian and a Dominican and seekothers still at large.

In a statement handedout in a press conference the DNCD said the seized bricks were in 14 boxes and12 sacks, adding that the substance will be taken to Forensics (INACIF) forconfirmation.
