Medina, Vargas to proclaim candidates for senators in Santiago

Santo Domingo.– Dominican president and presidential candidate of the ruling Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) Danilo Medina and its ally Miguel Vargas Maldonado, the president of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD), will head Saturday and Sunday the proclamation ceremonies of candidates for senators in San Pedro de Macoris and Santiago.

The head of state will also attend the Delegates Convention of the Popular Christian Party (PPC) where he will be proclaimed as the presidential candidate of that political organization for the 2016 elections.

According to PLD sources, Medina and Vargas will be in Santiago on Sunday to proclaim Senator Julio Cesar Valentin as a candidate for re-election, during a ceremony to be held at 4:00 pm in La Joya neighborhood.
