Medina opens up to media after newspapers´ pressure

Santo Domingo.- Slowly butsurely president Danilo Medina has been opening up to the media after it,through the Dominican Newspapers Society (SDD), voiced its objection to hislack of rapprochement with reporters dealing with national issues, so the countryhears the Head of State´s view on t hem.

Albeit informally, Medinahas been responding to journalists´ concerns on issues of national interest duringthe last two weeks.

In the heels of SDD presidentPersio Maldonado´s request for the President to be responsive to themedia, Medina has been in closer contact with journalists despite his statedpreference of letting his actions speak for him.
