Unatrafin union leader Arsenio Quevedo held in murder investigation

Santo Domingo.– National District Permanent Attention Court judge Honorio Suzaña on Friday ordered Unatrafin transport union president Arsenio Quevedo held for one year while authorities investigate allegations of his involvement in several killings.

According to police, Quevedo is accused of planning and paying for the killing of at least three drivers following arguments with them in recent years. He is also accused of laundering fuel subsidies that his union received monthly.

Also charged in the case is alleged hitman Danilo Octavio Reynoso, who told investigators the details of the fatal shooting of drivers Overnys Guerrero (Limpiabotas) and Angel Javier (Mayimbu), which occurred last January in the corner of streets Ana Valverde and Juana Saltitopa in Santo Domingo.
