Panama leader visits AES Dominicana´s energy complex

Santo Domingo.- Panama presidentJuan Carlos Varela and his official delegation on Thursday visited the AESAndres power complex, where he was received by AES Dominicana CEO Edwin De losSantos and other senior executives.

During the visit the Panamanianleader toured the country´s biggest energy complex to observe the naturalgas-fired power plant´s operation and learn of the benefits that fuel has providedto Dominican Republic’s energy matrix.

De los Santos was accompaniedby VP of Communications Germán Toro Ghio, the business leaders and AES partnersManuel Estrella and Felix Garcia as well as Ruben Jimenez Bichara, CEO of theState-owned electric utility (CDEEE).

De los Santos took theopportunity to share with Varela AES´ strategy to develop Dominican Republic´s energy and natural gas market to benefit tourism, industriesand transport.
