Panama leader´s visit bolsters ties with Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- Presidency spokesman Roberto RodriguezMarchena on Tuesday announced the official visit by Panama president Juan CarlosVarela and his wife, who’ll arrive in the country tonight.

"We have a very broad agenda that we will shareas governments. We know the interest of Dominicans to strengthen our cooperationwith the Republic of Panama," the official said in a National Palace pressconference.

Rodriguez stressed the close friendship between Valeraand president Danilo Medina, which he affirms have been strengthened inmeetings abroad.

He said an expanded meeting will be held in theNational Palace 11:30am Wednesday, to discuss various topics of interest with Panama´sHead of State.
