Scattered showers Friday, increasing over the weekend

Santo Domingo.- TheNational Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts light showers Friday, increasing over theweekend from an approaching trough and the humidity from the east-southeast wind.

It said today´s widely scatteredshowers will be mostly over the Caribbean coastal plain and border area.

It forecasts showersover most of the national territory Saturday, more frequent over the northeast,the Caribbean coastal plain, northern valley, Central Mountains and the south-centralborder area, increasing toward the afternoon.

Onamet advises smallcraft to remain near shore along the Caribbean coast, on higher than normalwaves.

Temperatures will rangefrom a high of 30°C to a low of 19°C.
