Dominicans relentless, human chains anticorruption continue

Santo Domingo.- Dozensof members of the grassroots movement Poder Ciudadano (Citizen Power) yesterdaystarted to march from Independencia Park toward the National Palace to gatheras every Wednesday and form the human chain to protest government corruption unleashedin the State Works Supervisory Engineers Office (OISOE).

Chanting "the corruptto jail" the protesters headed toward the National Palace to mark internationalAnticorruption Day, instituted by the UN General Assembly.

Another group of protestersawaited for the movement´s other members in front of the presidential palace,where the marchers formed the "human chain," which were also stagedin other cities.
