Santo Domingo.- Theexecutive branch on Thursday placed former National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD)president Rolando Rosado on retirement, ending a mostly successful career.
According to astatement on social networks signed by police chief Nelson Peguero, theExecutive order was signed Nov. 8.
"The executivebranch has placed Major General Lic. Rolando Rosado Mateo on voluntary retirementwith pension for reasons of time in service," said the statement, which hasyet to be officially released by the Police.
Rosado was fired ashead of the DNCD on June 2013 in the heels of his protecting former NationalPolice Lt. Colonel Johan Emilio Liriano, indicted earlier that year inconnection with the discovery of a cocaine lab in San Cristoba, a case in which ended in the conviction of the Colombian brothers Huber Oswaldo Buitrago Ruiz and Ángel María Buitrago Vacca,
