Majority, conservative parties confirm elections pact

Santo Domingo.- Theconservative minority PRSC Party on Sunday announced a pact with the majorityopposition PRM Party for next year´s elections, obtaining 12 candidates for theSenate, 50 for deputies, 50 for mayors, 85 for municipal managers, one nationaldeputy and three for the Central American Parliament –Parlacen-.

The agreement includesa survey in February to measure favorites for the ticket mate.

The senior leaders ofthe PRSC and of the PRM took part in the meeting to announce the electoralpact, forged after the former´s alliance with the ruling PLD party failed tomaterialize.
