PLD National Electoral Commission still without primary results

Santo Domingo.– The PLD’s National Electoral Commission (CNE) has not yet announced Sunday’s primary results s and decided to count the votes one by one in Santo Domingo Norte in the presence of the candidates due to alleged irregularities in the process.

Candidate for mayor Carlos Guzman withdrew his delegates in Los Guaricanos during primaries, alleging irregularities were taking place. He also complained that the other candidates had found alleged voting fraud in the PLD convention.

Lidio Cadet, coordinator of the PLD National Electoral Commission. said they are meeting challenges and are investigating the irregularities so that those responsible can be prosecuted.
