Medina names new Consumer Protection chief

Santo Domingo.-President Danilo Medina on Thursday named Anina M. del Castillo as director of theConsumer Protection Agency (ProConsumidor), replacing Altagracia Paulino, whoheld the post for more than six years.

The information tweetedby the Presidency says Del Castillo has held several posts in public service,including the team which negotiated DR-CAFTA trade deal.

Paulino recentlyrevealed that her time in ProConsumidor had expired, as its bylaws establish a maximumof six years.
