Medina to decide on reelection ‘in due time’

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- President Danilo Medina on Friday said he’ll keep his promise to journalists who cover the National Palace, on whether he’ll seek reelection.

On August 18 Medina promised journalists at the National Palace that he would refer on whether he would seek reelection.

"I have a commitment with you and I will comply in due time," Medina said when asked about the "fatal deadline" for parties to select candidates, which in his case is the ruling PLD.

The Head of State spoke briefly after breaking ground to build the hotel Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa, to be built in Punta Cana at a cost of more than US$160.0 million.
