Dominicans celebrate Independence Day

Santo Domingo.– Today the Dominican Republic celebrates its 171 anniversary of Independence from the Haitians.

All official and most private business activities will be suspended.

Today, president Danilo Medina will go to the Congress, to deliver his State of the Nation speech.
