Medina, Chicago Cubs owner meet in the Palace

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Tuesday met with the owner of the Chicago Cubs team in the National Palace, where they discussed various topics on professional baseball.

Medina spoke with Cubs owner Thomas (Tom) Riketts, who detailed his team’s plans in the Dominican Republic.

Also present were Rikettts’ father Joe and brother, Todd, Luis Eluaja, COO of the Cubs Academy in the town of Boca Chica, and Dominican consul in Chicago, Giselle Castillo.

Tom Riketts gave Medina a Chicago Cubs jacket, with his name and number 1.
