Punta Cana’s Carnival coming March 7

Punta Cana, D.R.- Punta Cana’s Carnival will be held March 7 beginning 3 pm, along the Primero de Novienbre boulevard., with an impressive multicolor display of masks and costumes, exhibited individually and in parades during a festival which will combine the fun and excitement of local, Caribbean and South American folklore.

The cultural festival hosted by the Puntacana Group as part of its 45th anniversary will feature a representation of the best national dance troupes from various provinces with carnival tradition such as La Vega, Puerto Plata, Santiago, Cotuí, San Pedro de Macoris, San Juan de la Maguana, among others.

“Guests can also appreciate the folk costumes from other countries with the parades from Curacao, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, Britain and Aruba,” the organizers said in a statement.
