Medina orders Colonial Zone’s revamp stepped up

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Sunday ordered the remodeling, adaptation and rescue of the capital’s historic center speeded up, adding two crews from the Public Works Ministry, and more funds to conclude it this year.

In surprise visit Medina ordered the conclusion of works at the ruins of the San Francisco Monastery, and that power distributor EdeEste to finish the Colonial Zone’s underground cabling.

The president met with business leaders Juan Vicini and José Miguel González Cuadra, together with Presidency Administrative minister José Ramón Peralta, Gonzalo Castillo of Public Works, and his assistant Carlos Pared, among others.
