Colonial City Museum exhibits 16th Century garments

SD. The Alcázar de Colón museum, located in the Colonial City’s Atarazanas, opened the permanent exhibit "The Viceroy Court of Doña María de Toledo in the First City of America."

The collection of 16th Century grments bear the signature of 11 Dominicans designers, whose talent and imagination created and donated them to the museum. The exhibit features nine suits, seven of women and two of men.

Culture minister Jose Antonio Rodriguez headed the activity with the designers Luis Dominguez, Jeanina Azar, Carlos Carbonel, Leonel Lirio, Carlos Moya, Belkola, Jorge Diep, Magalis Tiburcio, Hipólito Peña, Luz Rivas and Robert Flores.
