Four tourists drown at rough beach(Update)

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- Four tourists drowned Sunday afternoon at Macao beach, in eastern La Altagracia province.

The deceased were tentatively identified as US residents. The tragedy occurred when three of the victims tried to save a woman who was drowning.

According to the National Police the victims were vacationing in the country.

Civil Defense divers pulled the bodies out of the Mona Passage waters at Macao beach, known for rip currents and high waves.
