Protesters again demand Mayor ‘embezzled’ RD$400+ resign

San Francisco DM.- For the second time in as many weeks a group of protesters walked through neighborhoods to the city center to demand that Felix M. Rodriguez Grullón resign as Mayor, on charges he embezzled more than RD$400 million, together with several former City Council officials.

Leftist groups, Duarte province neighborhood boards and student organizations headed the protest, which began around 4pm.

"Resign already", "Seize properties acquired with the people’s money", and "30 years in prison for Felix the Cat" read some of the slogans written on the banners waved by protesters to demand that Rodriguez step down.
