Sunny weekend, high waves along Caribbean coast

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (ONAMET) on Friday forecasts a mostly sunny weekend, from two high pressure systems over the eastern Atlantic.

It said some areas of the northeast and southeast can expect partly cloudy skies and possible widely scattered showers.

The possibility of rainfall will continue low over much of the national territory Saturday and Sunday due to the influence of the high pressure systems.

The Emergency Operations Center (COE) however has issued an advisory on higher than normal waves along the Caribbean coast, where small craft should remain near shore.
