Drugs, cash seized from Dominicans nabbed near Boston

Boston.- Four Dominicans and fifth suspect were arrested Tuesday and 1,200 grams of heroin, 36 of crack, 148 of cocaine and more than US $75,000 in cash were seized, said police in Hyde Park, near Boston, Massachusetts.

The Dominican alleged drug traffickers including a woman were identified as Jordi Isaac de Jesus, Aderlín Tejada, Lucy Feliz, Sixto Ruiz and José Villegas, whom investigators say form part of a ring that traffics drugs, mainly heroin.

The arrests capped a three-month investigation and raids conducted in a building on Austin St. in Boston.

Three of those arrested are charged with felony drug offenses.

Another 270 grams of cocaine powder were found with US$1,200 in cash in the car Villegas was driving, Hyde Park police said, adding that the Dominicans arrested live in the Boston neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roslindale and Mattapan.
