Senate president Cristina Lizardo visits Taiwan

Taipei.– Dominican Republic Senate president Cristina Lizardo met with Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou in Taipei, as part of a 5-day visit to Taiwan that started Monday.

Lizardo’s busy schedule also includes a visit to the Department of International Information Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chiang kai-shek Monumet and the National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech).

On Wednesday the Senate president will be decorated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and later will attend a lunch headed by Foreign Affairs minister Simon S. Y. Ko.
