Tourist areas to receive 24-hour electricity for Easter

Santo Domingo.– EdeSur general manager Ruben Montas announced that the Dominican Republic’s tourist areas will receive 24-hour electricity from noon on Holy Thursday 2 April to midnight on Easter Sunday, 5 April.

According to El Dia newspaper, the plan that will guarantee 24-hour electricity cost nearly RD$9 million, which will contribute to the enjoyment and relaxation of Dominicans and foreigners in these areas as well as help with security and safety.

Montas also said that during Easter break extra personnel would be available to deal with any problems so they can help prevent any incidents that may affect vacationers.
