Dominican Embassy in Costa Rica fests Independence

San Jose, Costa Rica.- Dominican Republic’s Embassy in Costa Rica marked the 171st anniversary of Independence, laying wreaths and a reception last Friday, February 27.

Ambassador Octavio Lister made a floral offering at the National Monument in San Jose’s National Park, attended by diplomats, local officials and Dominican Embassy staff.

After the national anthems of the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica by the San Jose Municipal Band, the Dominican ambassador received the greetings from those present .

The diplomat and his staff then visited Dominican Republic Park, in the canton San Francisco de Dos Rios, to lay a wreath at the bust of Juan Pablo Duarte.
