Banks, Govt. offices close early today

Santo Domingo.– The banks and government offices will close their doors to the public at midday today, Thursday, and will resume their normal business on Monday, April 5.

All commercial banks operating in the country have announced that they will only work until 12:30, 3:00 or 4:00pm today, while government offices will close at 12:00.

All business activities in the Dominican Republic come to a halt on Holy Thursday. However, some department stores and shopping centers will remain open all day, with some reduction in opening hours.
