Ex Dominican President to throw first ball at Mariners-Angels game

Seattle.- Former president Leonel Fernández on Tuesday will pitch the first ball at the Seattle Mariners stadium in their game against the California Angels at 7:10 pm today Tues., East Coast time, said former Sports minister Felipe Payano,

He said Fernández was invited by the Seattle Mariners organization and its top slugger Robinson Cano.

Payano, a member of the ruling PLD party’s Central Committee, said before the game, Fernandez will have the opportunity to meet and chat with Seattle Mariners star players Nelson Cruz and Fernando Rodney, and Angels slugger Albert Pujols, and players Erick Aybar and Alfredo Griffin.
