Medina flies to Panama for Summit of the Americas

Santo Domingo.- PresidentDanilo Medina departed for Panama from San Isidro Airbase just minutes after9am Thursday, to participate in the 7th Summit of the Americas on Fridayand Saturday.

As part of the Summitthe Head of State will also attend the Business Forum starting today Thursday,together with a group of Dominican business leaders.

Medina boarded aprivate jet accompanied by first lady Candida Montilla, several senior officialsand aides.

Once in panama, Medinawill head ribbon cutting for a new Dominican Embassy in Panama City, slated for12 noon Thursday.
