Construction of overpass at busy intersections starts today

Santo Domingo.- Construction of an overpass at the de Gaulle Av.-Mella road intersection in Santo Domingo East starts 10pm today Tuesday, set to conclude in one a year.

The Public Works Ministry said the 390-meter length, four-lane overpass is designed for a speed of 60 kilometers per hour to improve traffic flow.

It said the contractors Odebrecht and Estrella are in charge of construction, with Tecnoamerica as overseer.
