Viva Resorts installs solar power plant in Las Terrenas

Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic.- The hospitality group Viva Wyndham Resorts installed a 210 kw /hour solar power plant at Cosón beach in Las Terrenas, Samana (east) to supply energy to itsproperties and to help develop the area.

The company Soventix Caribbean SRL, a solar Dominican Republic projects leader, installed the plant and covers some 3,000 square meters.

In a statement, Viva Windham said the plant’s renewable energy output will be around 330,000 kilowatt / hours of clean electricity annually. “The power generated will be consumed by the Viva Wyndham project under net metering regulations stipulated in the Renewable Energy Law 57-07.”
