Santo Domingo.- Francisca Lachapel was crowned Nuestra Belleza Latina 2015 on Sunday, and the first Dominican to win that title in the pageant hosted by TV network Univision.
"Mommy, I have a crown, I can’t believe it. Thanks to the public, to God and to all who’ve supported me," said the native of Azua, who won the ninth version of the contest.
The winner will receive US$200,000 in prizes, an exclusive contract with Univision, a car and enters People in Español magazine’s exclusive "50 Most Beautiful" list.
The also Dominican Clarissa Molina was the third finalist.
