US Embassy marks Earth Day with Botanical Garden ‘Green Fest’

SD.- The United States Embassy through its Green Team hosted for its traditional "Green Fest" Green Fair on Sunday April 26, to mark International Earth Day, with the theme "our moment to lead."

Each year and for the fifth consecutive year the US Embassy’s Green Fest seeks to raise awareness in the entire family about the importance of preserving the environment and taking action to reduce our impact on the planet.

"There has been much sensitivity on the part of citizens, the global market and the sector of nonprofit organizations in creating and supporting environmental initiatives,” US Ambassador James W. Brewster said in his keynote speech

Present in the ceremony were Environment minister Bautista Rojas and Botanical Garden director Ricardo Garcia.
