Washington.- The US government on Thursday included Ecuador in its annual "black list" of countries that violates intellectual property rights, and kept Argentina, Chile and Venezuela in that category to for another year, EFE reports.
In this year’s report several countries of the continent are in the second category of “observation” over concerns on intellectual property, including Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru and Canada.
Ecuador, which during several years had in a special observation category in the report by the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) Michael Froman, has been placed on the "black list" since 2014.
