Reformist party supports constitutional reform

Santo Domingo.– Veteran politico Federico Antun Batlle (Quique), the presidential candidate for the Social Christian Reformist Party (PRSC), said Friday that his political organization will not become an obstacle to the Constitutional reform process.

Quique Antun said that the decision taken by the PRSC on the Constitutional amendment that will allow Danilo Medina to become the PLD presidential candidate, will be from an institutional point of view.

He announced that on Monday the Presidential Board (DP), the highest governing body of the party, will discuss the reform issue. Nearly 50 reformist leaders will attend the meeting, scheduled for 4:00 pm at the PRSC headquarters.
