US Embassy hosts Alabama Trade Mission

SD. The US Embassy Commercial Section sponsored and organized the visit to the country by a delegation from Alabama, headed by State Commerce Secretary Greg Canfield.

The delegation arrived on Tuesday to attend a four-day mission focused on port issues, education and tourism.

The officials and business leaders visited the country after last year a Dominican mission will visit the port of Mobile, as part of the initiative for trade facilitation "Pathways to Prosperity."

Mobile harbor is one of the most important and busiest in the United States and during their stay the members of the Dominican delegation could observe closely its operations.
