Binational talks consolidate Hispaniola ties

Santo Domingo.- Foreign minister, Andrés Navarro met Wednesday with Haiti counterpart Lener Renauld and a Haitian delegation to discuss several topics and consolidate the binational talks aimed at strengthening ties on Hispaniola.

The foreign ministers agreed to promote several projects in trade, investment and energy along the border, especially a hydroelectric complex at the Artibonite river, the Dominican Foreign Ministry said in a statement, but didn’t provide further details.

It said the officials also reviewed the progress in the National Plan to Regularize Foreigners and agreed to meet again in the coming weeks.
