Opposition leader ‘swapped small party for big business’

Santo Domingo.- Opposition PRD party leader Guido Gomez on Tuesday slammed that organization’s president Miguel Vargas, for in his view, swapping his “small party to do big business."

Calling Vargas "hypocritical and simulator" he challenged him to explain his change of position regarding presidential reelection.

"What Miguel did with the PLD (ruling party) isn’t an alliance, it is business, he turned the PRD into a small party to do big business."

Interviewed on CDN Radio, the former legal advisor for president Hipolito Mejia said he’ll consult his supporters within the PRD to evaluate his possible resignation from the party.
