Tremor of 4.3 jolts north-central coast

Santo Domingo.- The Santo Domingo State University Seismological Institute (ISU) on Tuesday said it detected a 4.5 magnitude quake Espaillat province, in Dominican Republic’s Atlantic coast.

the ISU said the quake occurred southwest of Gaspar Hernandez township at 4:57am at a depth of 2.67 kilometers.

Meanwhile the Emergency Operations Center (COE) reports that the tremor was also felt in nearby Nagua.

The US Geodetic Survey posted the following info on its website:
