NYC Mayor climbs on bash Dominicans bandwagon

New York.- New York City mayor Bill de Blasio on Sunday joined the chorus of leaders who slam the ‘expulsions’ of undocumented foreigners, but go further by alleging it includes Dominicans of Haitian descent

“It is clearly an illegal act. It is an immoral act. It is a racist act by the Dominican government,” de Blasio said as quoted by.nydailynews.com, adding “these people are black” as the motive.

The outlet itself seems to fuel the fire when it places the number of Dominicans of Haitian descent as high as 200,000, but doesn’t cite the source of the figure and despite government assurances to the contrary.

“De Blasio urged the government to reverse course and warned that many Americans might avoid travel to the island nation, a popular tourist destination, if the situation is not resolved,” said nydailynews.com.

In addition to the NYC Mayor, St. Vincent & the Grenadines PM Ralph Gonsalves and US envoy to Japan Carloline Kennedy have lodged harsh criticism of the country’s decision to deport undocumented foreigners, mostly Haitian nationals.
