Brazil Foreign minister meets with Medina as scandal brews

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina met Monday with Brazil Foreign minister Mauro Vieira in the National Palace to “review the historical relations of friendship and cooperation between both nations,” according to the govt. website.

It said the meeting took place “in a cordial atmosphere,” and comes in the heels of the Petrobras-Odebrecht scandal, which includes Dominican Republic.

Dominican Foreign minister Andrés Navarro and Dominican ambassador in Brazil Alejandro Arias also took part in the meeting, in addition to other diplomats and officials from both countries.
