Clinton taps Dominican-American for key campaign post

New York.- US Democratic party hopeful for the US presidency Hillary Clinton has begun to fight for the Latino vote early, already naming at least eight Hispanics in key campaign positions

Clinton appointed Dominican-born Betsaida Alcantara media planning director, among the designations that include nationals of Peru and Mexico.

The former US first lady is expected to face a hard fight for the Hispanic vote, as the Republican party has fielded hopefuls with Latino background including Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.
