TV personality denies role in US$100M credit card fraud

Santo Domingo.- TV personality Ibelka Ulerio on Thursday denied taking part in the cloning of credit cards to siphon what authorities place was more than US$100 million, a case whose main suspect is her husband, Luis Gabriel Viloria Soriano.

Ulerio said the numerous reports which have emerged in the media are inaccurate, stressing that the one citing her seven cards, six of them cloned, "that’s a lie."

Police had named the host of "Spanish Spoken Here" (Channel 7) in connection with case of fraud and card cloning allegedly by her husband, who’s in custody.

"The first is that the owners say Ulerio Ibelka’s husband, and he has his name, I know I’m the figure, but he has his name," said Ulerio on Z101-FM morning radio.
