Teen scores Dominican Republic’s first Special Olympics gold

Los Angeles.- Twelveyear old swimmer Daniella Fortuna scores theDominican Republic’s first Gold Medal atthe 2015 Special Olympics World Games Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The Santo Domingonative not only stood a top the podium in the 200M Freestyle Fortuna also wonSilver in the 4x100M.

Other team memberslet their presence known in 4x100freestyle relay with Gabriel Guerrero brining home Silver and Renina Curielpicking up Silver in the 4x100M freestyle relay. Juan Cortorreal picked upSilver medal in the 4×100 freestyle while Maximo Mejia saw bronze in the 200M freestyle.

The Special OlympicWorld Games is one of the largest sporting events in the world held every foryears. The World Games in Los Angeles concludes Sunday.
