DR Golf Travel Exchange 2015 coming to Dominican links

Santo Domingo.- Toconsolidate the golf tourism offer in Dominican Republic; promote the niche´s integrationand assess its projected growth, the second edition of the Dominican RepublicGolf Travel Exchange 2015 will be held Sept. 5 to 10 at eastern resorts of LaRomana and Punta Cana.

TARGET ConsultantsMarketing CEO and event organizer Teddy De Lara announced the schedule ofactivities to showcase the country´s potentials in golf.

"We´ve designed DRGolf Travel Exchange as the institutional platform to promote and market theDominican Republic as a golf´s unrivaled destination in the region, through aproductive approach with tour operators and the most specialized internationaltravel agents in several countries, whose media have already confirmed coverage,"De Lara said.

"This year´s eventwill be a great opportunity to show golf markets everything we have as well asall additional options for players, including our beaches and resorts, ourculture and history and what sets us apart the most: our special joy and hospitality,"he said.

He said event will initiallystart in La Romana´s Casa de Campo resort and from there to the ??Punta Cana area,at the hotel Level by Melia, where it concludes September 10.

The program includesa workshop for one-on-one meetings between representatives of the various golfcourses in the country, hoteliers and receptive tour operators, travel agentsand specialized international media operations.
