Las Americas tunnel closed tonight for maintenance

Santo Domingo.- The Public Works Ministry on Monday announcedthe close today Monday of the East-West lanes of the Las Americas tunnel and West-Easton Tuesday 10pm to 6am, for maintenance work from. “The Las Americas tunnel willbe closed due to a maintenance plan and improve roads and streets, avenues andhighways.”

In a statement, Public Works said the work consists ofthe complete washing of the ceramic tiles and maintenance of the lights, thefull sweep from Juan Bosch Bridge to San Isidro highway, environmental cleanup,cleaning of reflective plates, structural monitoring and power.

It also announced the closing of the overpass on 27 deFebrero-Maximo Gomez avenues next Wednesday and the one o Kennedy with MáximoGómez on Saturday.
