Dominican exports jump 67%to US$9.9B in 2004

Santo Domingo.- Dominican exports including free zones jumped67%, from US$5.9 billion in 2004 to US$9.9 billion in 2014, a growth of 67%.

Dominican Republic Exportand Investment Center (CEI-RD) director Jean Alain Rodriguez stressed thevarious initiatives to promote exports and investment in the country, “tocreate thousands of jobs, contributing to s higher growth of the Dominicaneconomy.”

In a statement Rodriguezalso revealed that exports from Dominican Republic, including free zonestotaled US$9.9 billion in 2014, an 11% increase compared with US$8.9 billion in2013.
