HAYCO US$50M expansion to create 1,000 jobs: Official

Santo Domingo.- DominicanRepublic Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD) director Jean A. Rodriguez on Thursdaylauded Hong Kong-based HAYCO manufacturing company for choosing the country toinvest, and called its global expansion an important milestone.

He said HAYCO´s US$50million expansion will create up to 1,000 jobs in the preliminary phase, “togetherwith the transfer of valuable skills and knowledge to the technical community, makingthe Dominican Republic a leader in plastics technology in Latin America.”

Rodriguez spoke inthe groundbreaking ceremony for the company´s facilities located in Las AmericasIndustrial Zone, headed by Group CEOs Donald and Christopher Hay.
