Fuel prices just pennies lower despite big drops abroad

Santo Domingo.- The Industry and Commerce Ministry on Friday postedslightly lower prices on most fuels, despite major declines on crude in internationalmarkets.

For the week fromAug. 15 to 21 premium gasoline will cost RD$215.50 and regular RD$198.10 pregallon, for a reduction or RD$2.00 less on both.

Premium diesel willcost RD$153.90, or RD$2.10 less; regular diesel will sell for RD$145.90, a reductionof RD$2.10; optimum diesel will cost RD$165.80, for a reduction of RD$2.00 pergallon; avtur will cost RD$102.80, or RD$1.50 less; kerosene will cost RD$129.20,or RD$1.60 less and fuel oil will cost RD$83.41, or RD$2.52 less per gallon.

Propane will costRD$77.70 per gallon, or RD$1.00 lower, whiel natural gas remains unchanged atRD$29.44 per cubic meter.

The Dominican CentralBank´s posted average exchange rate of RD$45.15 per dollar was used to calculateall fuel prices.
