Medina: I don’t improvise with surprise visits

Tamayo, Dominican Republic.-President Danilo Medina on Sunday approved funding for irrigation pumps toplant crops on more than 220 hectares, and affirmed that his surprise visits tothe various productive sectors across the country “isn’t improvisation,” becausethey improve Dominicans´ living condition.

"I’m notimprovising. The projects all have to be evaluated to make investments," hesaid.

The President visitedthe village of Honduras, Tamayo township (west), where he heard the needs of producersof three agrarian reform projects.

"The solutionswill come, but we must plan. They have to be planned to make things gosmoothly,” he told the producers. "Today we begin to transform this area;have confidence. We came to support them, so they can change their lifestyle,"he added.

Medina also met withgypsum producers, telling then "what I want is that have a lot of revenue,so that the intermediaries don’t take what your sweat has made.”
