First director slams current traffic cop chief for letting it ´degrade´

Santo Domingo.- The MetropolitanTransit Authority´s (AMET) first director on Wednesday slammed the current administrationfor in his view allowing the agency´s degradation, leading to a lack of respectfor its authority and letting it to change its mission from preventive to repressive.

Hamlet Hermann said it´san outrage that when an traffic cop writes a traffic summons, its current director“allows the mistreatment of one of its agents.”

Interviewed by MarinoZapete and Edith Febles on SIN news Channel 9, the former guerilla fighter citedthe cases of Miguel Villaman Fadul, nephew of Interior and Police minister JoseR. Fadul, and Industry and Commerce deputy minister Alfonso Crisostomo, whoused their political power to humiliate AMET agents who tried to issue traffic violations.
